Our story
Built for better mobility, from people who saw what was missing.
Betterbility was created by Anderson and Lavinia to rethink what a mobility device could feel like: more capable, more intuitive, and more empowering for everyday life.
Our why
Designed from real-world mobility needs.
Traditional walkers, wheelchairs, and mobility aids often force people to choose between independence, support, and dignity. We wanted to bring something different: one device that adapts as the user's needs change throughout the day.
The founders
Meet Anderson and Lavinia
Anderson
Co-founder & physiotherapistAfter building and selling a 7-figure healthcare business in Australia, Anderson co-founded Betterbility to create more practical, empowering healthcare products. He saw an opportunity to rethink mobility support so it felt less clinical and more capable. His focus is bringing Betterbility’s vision to life through product, growth, and strategy.
Lavinia
Co-founder & occupational therapistAs an Occupational Therapist in Australia, Lavinia has seen how the right mobility support can change someone’s everyday life. She co-founded Betterbility to help create a device grounded in real user needs, not just design theory. Her clinical experience helps shape Betterbility around safety, independence, and dignity.
Our belief
Independence is not one-size-fits-all.
Some days, users want to walk. Some moments, they need to sit. Sometimes, a carer needs to help. Betterbility was designed around that reality, giving people more ways to move through the same day with confidence.
A note from us
Built with care, for everyday independence.
Betterbility is our answer to a simple belief: mobility support should help people feel more capable, not more restricted. We're building this for users, families, carers, and clinicians who know that independence is not one-size-fits-all.
